By Public Transport
|
From the Central Station Groningen and the bus station Groningen you can reach Bao Trieu by bus:
- Take bus line 3 --direction Vinkhuizen--, get off at the stop Pleiadenlaan/Voermanstraat
- Take bus line 5 --direction Paddepoel--, get off at the stop Avondsterlaan/Jupiterstraat
- Take bus line 7 --direction Vinkhuizen--, get off at the stop Pleiadenlaan/Voermanstraat
- Take bus line 11 --direction Zernike--, get off at the stop Winkelcentrum Paddepoel
From these bus stops, you can reach the school within a few minutes (see directions for zie walking).
From the station you could also use the 'trein taxi' (you can buy a ticket at the train ticket counter by showing your train ticket; it will cost fl. 7.-). The trein taxi is located to your left once you exit the main building of the train station. You will find a phone there to call the taxi if it is not already there.

By Car

From the A 28 (coming from Zwolle/Assen):
- At the first stoplight (Julianaplein) turn left
- Follow the ringweg in the direction of Zuidhorn/Bedum
- At the turn for the directions Vinkhuizen/Paddepoel turn right to Paddepoel. You are now on a street called Pleiadenlaan
- Take the first left (Regulusstraat)
- Take the third left (Poolsterlaan)
- You are now heading straight toward Bao Trieu Sportcentre (at the corner of Spicastraat/Poolsterlaan)

From the A 7 (coming from Drachten):
- At the first exit for Groningen, take the ringweg in the direction of Zuidhorn/Bedum (N 46)
- At the turn for the directions Vinkhuizen/Paddepoel turn right to Paddepoel. You are now on a street called Pleiadenlaan
- Take the first left (Regulusstraat)
- Take the third left (Poolsterlaan)
- You are now heading straight toward Bao Trieu Sportcentre (at the corner of Spicastraat/Poolsterlaan)

From the A 7 (coming from Winschoten/Oldenburg):
- At the first exit in Groningen (Europaplein) take the ringweg west in the direction of Drachten: A 7 / N 28 / N 7
- Follow the ringweg and pass the Julianaplein (stoplights)
- Follow the ringweg in the direction of Zuidhorn/Bedum
- At the turn for the directions Vinkhuizen/Paddepoel turn right to Paddepoel. You are now on a street called Pleiadenlaan
- Take the first left (Regulusstraat)
- Take the third left (Poolsterlaan)
- You are now heading straight toward Bao Trieu Sportcentre (at the corner of Spicastraat/Poolsterlaan)

Parking:
You can always try to find a parking space near Bao Trieu Sportcentre but it is not always easy to find one. Instead, you could park at the shopping centre (winkelcentrum) Paddepoel (free parking). To do so, stay on the Pleiadenlaan, go straight at the stoplights. You will see the parking lot on your left-hand side (opposite the petrol station).

By Bike

Quick Route from the Grote Markt:
- Take the Oude Boteringestraat and then the Nieuwe Boteringestraat
- At the Kleine Kruisstraat, take a left
- Follow this road (Grote Kruisstraat, Kerklaan)
- Go underneath the bike tunnel (very short!), turn left and follow the curving road to the right (Dierenriemstraat)
- Just before the shopping centre Paddepoel turn left onto the Pleiadenlaan.
- Go straight at the stoplights (still Pleiadenlaan)
- Turn right at the Regulusstraat (2nd turn after the stoplights)
- Take the third left (Poolsterlaan)
- You are now heading straight toward Bao Trieu Sportcentre (at the corner of Spicastraat/Poolsterlaan)

Scenic Route from the Grote Markt:
- Take the Oude Boteringestraat
- Turn left immediately after the bridge (Lopende Diep)
- Stay near the water as much as possible: Noorderhaven, pass the frontside of the Noorderplantsoen park, Wilhelminakade, red cycling path along the water (Reitdiep)
- Cross the Pleiadenlaan (a pretty busy road!), and keep following the cycling path
- Bao Trieu Sportcentre is located on your right-hand side after about 200 m

Please park your bike in one of the bike racks just outside the property of Bao Trieu Sportcentre.

Walking
|
From the Shopping Centre 'Winkelcentrum Paddepoel':
- At the stoplights by the crossing Zonnelaan/Pleiadenlaan (at the southwestern side of the shopping centre, near the post office) walk on the Pleiadenlaan toward Vinkhuizen
- Just before the bridge, you turn right and onto the red cycling path. Follow the water (Reitdiep)
- Bao Trieu Sportcentre is located on your right-hand side after about 200 m

From the busstop Pleiadenlaan/Voermanstraat:
- Walk back onto the Pleiadenlaan
- Just before the bridge, you turn right and onto the red cycling path. Follow the water (Reitdiep)
- Bao Trieu Sportcentre is located on your right-hand side after about 200 m

From the busstop Avondsterlaan/Jupiterstraat:
Standing at the busstop you can see Bao Trieu Sportcentrum already. The easiest way to get there:
- Walk along the appartment building 'Avondster-flat' and take the small stairway to the red cycling path along the water
- Turn left onto the cycling path
- Bao Trieu Sportcentre is located on your right-hand side after about 100 m
